Short term scientific missions (STSM) and ITC conference grants

Short term scientific missions (STSMs) and Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) conference grants

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are aimed at strengthening collaborative activities by allowing scientists to go to another laboratory to learn/perform a new technique. They are particularly intended for young scientists.

ITC Conference Grants are aimed at supporting ECI and PhD students from Participating ITC to attend international science and technology related conferences on the topic of the Action that are not organised by the COST Action.

STCMs and ITC Conference Grants are evaluated and granted by the Grant Awarding Coordination team.

STSMs open call

Funding for 9 Short Term Scientific missions (STSM) of up to 4000 € each are available during the third grant period (Nov 1, 2023 - Oct 31, 2024) to allow exchange of ANDRONET researchers and team members among the laboratories of the ANDRONET COST Action participants. The application deadline will be permanently open until May 30, 2024. All applications will be considered as soon as they are submitted and resolved on a first-come first-served basis, until all available STSMs have been granted. In all cases the realization of the STSM must be finished by October 31, 2024. The length of the STSMs can be from a few weeks up to several months (there is no limit) as long as the start and end dates fall within the grant period. The grant is intended to provide a contribution for travelling, accommodation and subsistence expenses of the grantee, and to stimulate and promote research collaborations among teams and/or education in Andrology.

Interested candidates in applying for a STSM should submit a letter of motivation for their intended stay (including title of the proposed activity, proposed start and end dates, budget requested, information about the host institution and contact person), and the support letters of the Laboratory PIs involved in the exchange, to the

The application deadline will be permanently open until May 30, 2024. All applications will be considered as soon as they are submitted and resolved on a first-come first-served basis, until all available STSMs have been granted.
